So one of these is going to be our avatar for the next month or so. Wheee. Making that poll now.

Okay, sw0rd5 here, filling in for OrangE, as he's down with the flu at the moment.

It occurred to me that there's no poll set up for the next theme.

SO, going off from OrangE's plurk post a few hours before he went down, I have thus set up the next theme to be a CHALLENGE TO PRODUCE AN OFFICIAL AVATAR FOR OUR TUMBLR AND BLOGGER ACCOUNTS! \o/

OK, so. guidelines.

Since avatars are generally square in shape, I shall impose this minor restriction for the challenge.

Entries should be square in shape. Resolution should be around 150-200 pixels/inch, just to ensure a decent amount of detail will be able to shine through, should we be forced to scale it down for use.

The theme, of course, will be relating to the title of our art blog: Vorpal Pencil. As OrangE said in his plurk post, interpret the title however you want. Also, make it something that will make the art blog's avatar stand out in a tumblr dashboard.

Deadline for submission of entries: Now this is a doozy. I am fully aware that most of us will NOT be able to make the deadline, owing to that last hullabaloo with the first theme submissions.

SO, I shall impose a TENTATIVE deadline of Wednesday, May 25th, 2011. To be honest, this is to give time for us (sw0rd5 and OrangE) to collate the works and have them set up in a poll, so YOU, the challengers yourselves, can decide AMONG YOU the winner of the challenge.

BWAHAHAHA--

*ahem*

OK, so. Deadline for submission of entries is on Wednesday, May 25th, 2011, at 11:59 P.M.


In the event that NO ONE, once more, is able to submit on said deadline, OrangE and I will have enough leeway to push it back, and still have enough wiggle room for a poll to be set up.

And in the event that the deadline gets pushed back too far enough that polls will be a complete waste of time to set up, it will be up to me and OrangE to decide which avatar we're going to use.

It was originally suggested by OrangE himself that this be a weekly thing, but I think that making this monthly or bimonthly would be better, to have the avatar's creator enough time to gloat about his work. :p

SO, I suppose that's it for me. 'Til next time, y'all! o7
